Graduating the Program
A successful La Luma Academy student graduates the program grounded in their technical and service skills, and passionate and excited for their careers ahead. They are confident leaders who are able to show up “on”, ask for help and receive feedback. They are ready to launch into the world and achieve their personal and professional goals.
To graduate the program, all students must achieve the following by their expected graduation day:
75% average and successful completion of all coursework
1875 hours spent at La Luma Academy practicing, training and developing.
Salon Floor success, the ability to consistently and independently perform all hair services learned at La Luma Academy to the Guest’s desired result.
You might be wondering what life looks like after graduation - Is it easy to get a job as a hairstylist? Do salon owners like to see La Luma Academy on a resume? Here’s what we can tell you with certainty:
As of 2022, of the 80% of our students who succesfully graduate our Hairstyling program, 87.5% successfully find work, with 60% of those jobs being withing the hair and beauty industry. While we can’t speak to the specifics of other salons, students who move from La Luma Academy to La Luma Salon consistently out perform the industry standards in terms of revenue generation, guest retention and industry longevity.
